Thursday, July 19th was the start of our summer road trip to Yellowstone National Park. The goal was to get on the road by 3pm, but as usual, we started a bit late, not leaving the house until 4:30. Once “Black Beauty” (our minivan) was loaded up, it was a smooth start for our drive from Fort Worth, TX to Amarillo, TX. Zach was well behaved the whole way. We did get to get some play time in at a play ground at one of the Texas rest stops. Our hotel for the night was the Comfort Inn off Soncy Road. We arrived too late to get any swimming in though. The rooms and breakfast were nice, but the hallways smell of smoke from when they used to allow smoking.
In July of 2012, our family had an adventure of a road trip from Texas to Yellowstone National Park. Our mode of transport was "Black Beauty," the family minivan.
